Last week was jam-packed and eventful.  Here's a quickie rundown -- a highlight reel without the reel.

Saturday -- 11:30 PM -- Our second Last Call with Jonny Loquasto sold out the Hollywood Improv, just like our first one in February.  And, like that first show, this one was hilarious.  Host Jonny kicked it off-- is it me, or has this man truly found his element?  Then comes showbizzle's own Heather Thomson, who plays Shannon on Janey's Blog, followed by a short "teaser set" by an oh-so-cute/oh-so-young Esther Povitsky, who does a truly hysterical bit on the floor.  Then come all the funny dudes: each comic as funny as the next, all of 'em total pros.  Thanks for making us laugh: Ryan Sickler (Comedy Central, "Late Late Show"); Michael Kosta (Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham", Showtime's "Live Nude Comedy"); Jim Short ("Late Show with David Letterman"); and the in-your-face-I-was-there-shut-the-f***-up rants from Mr. Brody Stevens ("The Hangover", "Chelsea Lately".  The next Last Call with Jonny L is scheduled for June 19th!  Yay!

Monday -- showbizzle.com relaunches with a way cooler website design, featuring Janey's Blog, Inside the Bizzle, and So Very L.A.  It's a total upgrade.  First reviews are in.  Here's our fave: "The site redesign is fantastic!  I am really blown away.  With no disrespect to your past work, I have to say this is a marked improvement.  The video (for first-time visitors) did an excellent job of explaining what showbizzle is all about." (Shari G. Weiss, "Teen Drama Whore")

Tuesday -- showbizzle puts out its monthly Newsletter inviting members to "Take a Bizzle Break" and find out how we are "Making Hollywood User-Friendly -- one blogisode at a time."

Wednesday -- All's well that ends well as Fall On, the video that took first place in showbizzle's Hollywood Challenge (produced and performed by the innovative and -- dare I say -- brilliant Dangerbox from New York University), premiered at the Chicago Improv Festival's "1 World on 1 Stage" international improv jam on the second night of the festival.  Congratulations to Dangerbox, who will be coming to L.A. to work with showbizzle in the very near future (New York University Dangerbox - Fall On).  We also hope to work with (and love the "Glee"-inspired video of) the Mixed Signals from The College of New Jersey -- a college we hadn't actually heard of before the Hollywood Challenge, but now wholeheartedly respect (The College of New Jersey Mixed Signals - Mixed Signals Make a Movie: a Short yet Predictable Underdog Story).

Thursday -- Take a red-eye to New York City on bizzle business.

Friday -- Back to L.A. to start planning a slew of contests for the merry merry month of May.  Details revealed next week.  Until then -- don't forget to "Take a Bizzle Break".  Break early, break often...
